Client presented a complexed 8 part prototype which offered a recyclable alternative to the market leading product. ICON was tasked with developing the initial design to give various styles and sizes to satisfy the medical market the product was going to serve
Solution
ICON successfully injection moulded all eight parts, assembled the complete unit including the RFID (radio frequency identification chip) and have shipped a trial quantity of finished goods to the customer.
Outcome
The produce has been well received due to the flexibility of the product range and the recyclability, thus reducing land fill and helping achieve on of the NHS targets. We are now waiting for environmental approval from the NHS via the customer.
